Required by federal and state laws to advocate for the rights of people living in San Francisco's skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities for the elderly, and assisted living programs. The Ombudsman receives and responds to individual complaints and issues by, or on behalf of, these residents. These may include allegations of elder abuse.
Ombudsman services are free, confidential, and provided by the Felton Institute, an SFHSA community partner.
