Help CUESA be Waste
Wise!
The Center for Urban about Sustainable Agriculture is
proud to launch it's new Waste Wise Farmers Market. In an effort green the
market, we're introducing custom-made Waste Wise stations and informational
displays. To ensure every can, plate, fork and crumb makes it to the right
place, we'll need a team of volunteer monitors each
week.
As a Waste Wise station monitor, not
only will you help divert tons of waste from a landfill, you'll also help
educate thousands of shoppers about being waste wise-- without getting dirty! All materials will be
provided.
We need volunteers every Tuesday from
9:30-2 beginning April 22nd, and
every Saturday from 7:30-2 beginning April 26th. This opportunity is perfect for both
individuals and groups of all ages. Each day will begin with a half hour
training and refreshments.

CUESA was organized in 1994 to
educate urban consumers about sustainable agriculture and to create links
between urban dwellers and the farmers who practice sustainable agriculture in
the Bay Area. We are a tax-exempt 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that also has,
since 1999, managed the Ferry Plaza Farmers
Market. CUESA is dedicated to promoting a sustainable food system through
the operation of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and its educational
programs. Find us at www.cuesa.org.
