EBASE Seeks New Executive Director
East Bay Alliance for a
Sustainable Economy
(EBASE), Oakland,
CA
POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED - PLEASE PASS THIS ON!
Do you know someone who wants an exciting job making a difference
for working families? Please circulate EBASE’s job announcement for
a new Executive Director.
The East Bay Alliance for a Sustainable Economy is a labor-community
alliance that advances economic and social justice by building power and
raising standards for working families. EBASE envisions an economy that
works for working people. EBASE is leading the charge to
transform the East Bay economy and build a movement to end working
poverty - using a unique combination of research, coalition building,
policy advocacy, and leadership development. In our vision, all
workers from nurses to teachers to janitors, housekeepers and grocery
clerks earn enough to live in dignity. All work is valued, and all
workers enjoy respect and a voice on the job. Prosperity and economic
opportunity are broadly shared, and economic growth creates
family-supporting jobs. Working families and communities have a voice in
the decisions that affect their lives, and the capacity to hold corporate
and government decision makers accountable.
EBASE is a healthy organization seeking a leader to take it to the next
level. EBASE has a track record of success, an excellent reputation
in its field, a $1 million annual budget and a 9-year history of
financial stability and growth. EBASE has a skilled and stable
staff team of 15 people, solid Board leadership, and has recently
completed a multi-year strategic plan. We are seeking an
exceptional candidate with the capacity to successfully lead a large,
complex organization that is advancing multiple campaigns and programs.
Qualifications: 10 years experience. Significant knowledge and experience
with organized labor; commitment to building a diverse and inclusive
labor movement and partnering with community groups.
Compensation: Salary will be determined by the Board of Directors
DOE. Generous benefits package including employer contribution to
pension; medical, dental and vision insurance; and paid time
off.
POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED - PLEASE PASS THIS ON!
