WFW recommendations are guided by these premises:
1. Cycling plant-based foods through animals to produce meat and related animal-based products is inefficient, unsustainable, and detrimental to global hunger solutions.
2. Demand for animal products is not "given" or "fixed."
3. Producing and consuming fewer animal products (especially those raised by intensive farming methods) is a recommended "part of the solution".
