A growing chapter of Progressive Democrats of America, a national organization and Political Action Committee (PAC). PD–East Bay was started by supporters of Kucinich, Dean, and various social justice groups.
PD–East Bay is not affiliated with the Democratic party but instead, is dedicated to restoring a progressive vision to the Democratic party. PD–East Bay supports progressive causes by forming action groups, in coalition with other progressive organization, to take action on a local and national level. PD–East Bay also supports electing progressives to existing Democratic party structures and to local, state, and national offices.
