An organization supported by hundreds of international groups and nonviolent leaders from diverse political, ethnic and religious backgrounds, who are creating a professional, international unarmed force of trained civilian personnel. The Peaceforce will be sent to areas of armed conflict to provide peacekeeping services, prevent death and destruction, and make a space for local groups to struggle nonviolently, enter into dialogue and seek peaceful resolutions with one another.
