Priority Program: Genetically Modified (GM) Foods and Crops. The current generation of genetically modified (GM) foods and crops is fraught with unpredictable, hard-to-detect side effects. They bring unprecedented risks to health and may create irreversible damage to the environment. Therefore, we seek to ban the genetic engineering of our food supply and all outdoor releases of genetically modified organisms, at least until there is a consensus of scientific opinion that such products are safe and appropriate based on independent and reliable data.
