Founded in late 1999 as a nonprofit antidote to the commodified, commercialized media and arts industry. We do this by providing common support services and resources to a number of different community art and public media projects. We bring brains, depth and verve to our coverage of homelessness, war and terrorism, drugs and society, the environment, labor, art, music, film and literature. Our grassroots networking and production services support emerging and established artists, authors, musicians, producers, journalists and filmmakers who are rarely represented in the commercial arena.
