GRID Alternatives' vision is a successful transition to clean, renewable energy that includes everyone. Our mission is to make renewable energy technology and job training accessible to underserved communities. To that end, we install no cost solar systems for low-income families and hands-on training to green job seekers.
GRID Alternatives is 501(c)(3) certified non-profit organization based in Oakland, California, with nine affiliate offices serving all of California, Colorado, Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. We also have a national Tribal Program, and an International Program serving Nicaragua, Nepal and Mexico.
