A non-profit organization devoted to bringing back bio-diversity to the hearts of cities. Major objectives are: 1. to build ecologically healthy, socially equitable cities, towns, and villages; 2. to cultivate creative solutions to today's environmental and societal problems; and 3. to rebuild our civilization in balance with nature. Speakers are available on ecological city planning, design, and activism. Our latest publication is Ecocities, Rebuilding Cities in Balance with Nature, by Richard Register, New Society Publishers, illustrated second edition, 2006. Ecocity Builders also is the keeper of the International Ecocity Conference Series last held in August, 2002 in Shenzhen, China and soon to be convened in Bangalore, India.
