An organization that uses public policy and community organizing to build power and raise standards for working families in the East Bay.
People who work hard should be able to provide for themselves and their families, but for too many people today, this isn't a reality. Our economy is creating more and more low-wage, no-benefit, dead-end jobs.
To change this situation, EBASE builds alliances of labor, community, and faith that give working people a voice on the job, in the community and in government. We pass laws, like living wages. We make sure big economic development projects create good jobs and affordable housing. We stand up against workplace discrimination and exploitation of immigrants and people of color.
