A third generation Chinese American from San Francisco, Canyon Sam has graced stages throughout the U.S. and Canada, including the Walker Center in Minneapolis, Columbia University, and the Cleveland Performance Art Festival. Her solo shows reflect themes and settings from her travels and activist work in Buddhist Asia as well as contemporary life in urban America.
